Differences between the T0441 & T0431 black cartridges are, the T0431 is the wide high capacity black cartridge and the T0441 is the narrow standard capacity black cartridge. Both single T0441 & T0431 cartridges are interchangeable and the cartridge microchip will line up with the printer contacts correctly.
The difference in the amount of prints is about 540 for standard and 1200 for high capacity at 5% coverage.
We are currently unable to supply the high capacity T0431.

Changing ink cartridges:
When your printer is low on a particular ink colour, it will display a flashing (red) ink light. Changing the cartridge is simple;
1) Press the ink button once and lift the printer lid. The carriage will move to a pointer on the printer, which will indicate which colour requires changing.
2) Press the ink button again and if another colour also requires changing, it will also indicate that one.
3) Press the ink button once and providing there are no other colours that need changing, the carriage will move to the opening, giving you access to remove and fit cartridges.
4) Now just remove your new cartridge from its package, remove the blue 'clip stop' and peel the yellow tear-off strip.
5) Place the cartridge into its correct carriage port and press down with your thumb over circle which says 'press' on the top of the cartridge. You should hear two small clicks as the cartridge clips into place.
6) Carry out the same procedure as (4) & (5) for any other cartridges requiring changing.
7) Once you have changed the cartridges, press the ink button once and the printer will prime and clean the print heads. This will take about 20 / 30 seconds.
8) Now print a nozzle check pattern to make sure that there are no air locks or blockages. If the pattern is not correct, carry out head cleaning.
Additional cleaning information:
If blockages are severe, clean the print heads 3 or 4 times without doing the nozzle check, only print the nozzle check after you have cleaned the heads 3 or 4 times. The blockages should now be cleared or at least you should see some improvement. If still not perfect, carry our 3 or 4 more cleans and then print the nozzle check pattern.
Unfortunately there are no compatible cleaning cartridges on the market for these printers as yet.
